چکیده
Abstract Waterhemp has evolved resistance to seven herbicide modes of action in the United States and five Canada, which limits weed control options for producers. The objective this research was quantify level duration residual multiple herbicide-resistant (MHR) waterhemp with Group 15 herbicides (acetochlor, dimethenamid-p, flufenacet, pyroxasulfone, S -metolachlor) applied preemergence a non-crop area. Four field trials were conducted over 2-yr period (2021, 2022) southwestern Ontario, Canada. By 4 wk after application (WAA) 91% had emerged nontreated numerical all herbicides, exception greatest at WAA, then declined. Flufenacet provided lowest control; dimethenamid-p -metolachlor intermediate control, acetochlor pyroxasulfone highest control. peaked 6 WAA 99% declined 77% 12 WAA. (low high rates) predicted reduce emergence by 50% 42 44 d (DAA). Dimethenamid-p, -metolachlor, (both formulations three 80% 36, 43, 33 51 DAA, respectively; contrast, 82 DAA. This study concludes that evaluated, flufenacet provides shortest waterhemp, longest waterhemp.

Herbicide-resistant crops and weed resistance to herbicides.
The adoption of genetically modified (GM) crops has increased dramatically during the last 3 years, and currently over 52 million hectares of GM crops are planted world-wide. Approximately 41 million hectares of GM crops planted are herbicide-resistant crops, which includes an estimated 33.3 million hectares of herbicide-resistant soybean. Herbicide-resistant maize, canola, cotton and soybean a...
متن کاملControl of Herbicide-resistant Volunteer Corn in Herbicide-resistant Soybean
Glyphosate-resistant corn and soybean are grown in rotations in the Midwest, including Nebraska. Volunteer corn is a problematic weed in soybean fields because it causes harvest problems, reduces yield and seed quality, and potentially harbors insects, pests, and diseases. Several pre-packaged herbicides have been registered in soybean in recent years, but response of volunteer corn to these he...
متن کاملGlyphosate-Resistant Weed Control and Soybean Injury in Response to Different PPO-Inhibiting Herbicides
In Nebraska, 5-enolpyruvyl shikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS) as well as acetolactate synthase (ALS)-inhibitor-resistant weeds occur in many soybean fields where herbicides from these modes-of-action have been frequently used in the past. Currently, the protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO)-inhibitors are the only effective herbicides for POST control of both glyphosateand ALS-inhibitor-resistan...
متن کاملComparison of Glufosinate-Based Herbicide Programs for Broad-Spectrum Weed Control in Glufosinate-Resistant Soybean
Because of the increasing number of glyphosate-resistant weeds, alternate herbicide-resistant crops and herbicides with different modes of action are required to protect crop yield. Glufosinate is a broad-spectrum POST herbicide for weed control in glufosinate-resistant crops, including soybean. The objective of this study was to compare herbicide programs with glufosinate applied singly at lat...
